Tournament Highlights
- Aaron Palushaj is named Team USA's player of the game after scoring a natural hat trick to help defeat Russia, 5-1 in the final tune-up game before the tournament begins.
- Simon Hjalmarsson scores a goal and adds two assists in a 10-1 win over Latvia.
- Aaron Palushaj tallies 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) in a 12-0 win for Team USA over Kazakhstan. Ian Cole added a goal and 2 assists.
- Alex Pietrangelo and Brett Sonne will compete with Team Canada for a gold medal against Simon Hjalmarsson and Team Sweden.
- Blues prospects Alex Pietrangelo and Brett Sonne earn gold medals with Team Canada as they defeated Team Sweden Jan. 5 to claim the championship. It marks the 5th consecutive year that Canada has won the gold.
