Agriculture Leader’s Goal: Producing More, Conserving More and Improving Farmers' Lives

Beginning in the 2008-09 season, Monsanto will present the Goals of the Week during each radio broadcast. The St. Louis Blues organization will then be profiling these goals as well as other key goals netted throughout the week as part of a new online “Goals of the Week” video feature which we’ll profile here at stlouisblues.com.

Experts say agricultural production will need to double by 2050 to feed a growing world. This means we’ll need to get more from each acre of farmland and each drop of water. Monsanto’s goal is to develop seeds that significantly increase crops yields and help farmers use one-third less water per bushel produced. Monsanto remains focused on enabling both small-holder and large-scale farmers to produce more from their land while conserving more of our world's natural resources such as water and energy.
