Pink at the Rink
Breast Cancer Awareness Night

On Saturday, October 20, during the Blues/Wild game, the Blues teamed up with Komen for the Cure St. Louis Affiliate to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Pink at the Rink! The event raised more than $13,000 for Komen for the Cure St. Louis through sales of commemorative Blues ribbon pins, pink hats and the special pink silent auction! The Blues also donated $5 from ticket sales through a special offer.

More than 100 people affiliated with Komen for the Cure attended the game. Breast cancer survivors and their guests were invited to enjoy the game from the McBride & Sons Home Suite Home and were welcomed on the jumbotron. Komen for the Cure also handed out educational information to fans at their booth.

In addition, Blues coaches and broadcasters wore pink ties to commemorate the occasion.
