ST. LOUIS (AP) -Chris Mason was quick to credit his St. Louis teammates for his second shutout in three games.

"I'm feeling pretty good and the guys are doing a great job in front of me," Mason said after making 35 saves for his 15th career shutout in the Blues' 4-0 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday night.

"They're blocking shots, letting me see pucks, clearing rebounds, letting me know where pucks are. I think it's a combination of everyone kind of getting better as we go here."

St. Louis is 4-1-1 in its last six games, with Mason picking up three wins.

Carlo Colaiacovo, Jay McClement, David Backes and Patrik Berglund scored, Brad Boyes and T.J. Oshie each had two assists, and Mason also had an assist. Mason, who has allowed two goals in his last three starts, also blanked Chicago on Jan. 21.

"Our goaltending was solid tonight obviously," Blues coach Andy Murray said. "Our penalty killers did a great job."

The Flyers, who were 3-1-1 in their previous five games, were 0-for-11 on the power play that included a full 2-minute 5-on-3 man advantage in the first period.

"Yeah it was a real key point in the game," Flyers coach John Stevens said. "You get those opportunities early and you want to capitalize and we didn't put the puck in the net and the worst case scenario is they come out and score right after that so not only do we not score, but they score after that. Surely special teams played a factor in the game tonight. It was the difference in the hockey game in the end."

The Blues opened the scoring after killing off the 5-on-3, with McClement getting his fifth of the season at 4:05 of the first period.

Brad Winchester (tripping) and Oshie (hooking) were in the box and as both came out, Oshie sent Winchester in on Flyers goalie Antero Niittymaki. After Niittymaki stopped Winchester's initial shot with a blocker save, McClement hammered home the rebound from a sharp angle into an empty side.

Colaiacovo, acquired from Toronto along with Alexander Steen on Nov. 24 for Lee Stempniak, made it 2-0 2:45 into the second period, snapping a shot from the slot past Niittymaki off a feed from Keith Tkachuk.

Backes made it 3-0 with his 17th goal at 8:37. Steen took a long outlet feed from Mason that sprung a 2-on-0, then fed Backes in the crease for an easy tap-in.

"They probably read the scouting report. They know I don't play the puck a lot," Mason said. "All their guys changed and usually that doesn't happen. I just looked up and all their guys went to the bench and I saw (Steen) hustling across the line and I just fired it up. He did the rest."

Berglund's power-play goal came with 4:33 remaining in the game on a one-timer from the right dot.

The game between cross-conference teams produced an usually large amount of penalty minutes, as the teams combined for 27 penalties and 76 penalty minutes.

Notes: The Flyers had won four straight against St. Louis dating to Dec. 7, 2002. Philadelphia also won five in a row in St. Louis, dating to Feb. 29, 2000. ... The Blues are 14-1-1 when leading after two periods. ... Mason has three career assists.
