Last 10: St. Louis 5-3-2; Vancouver 6-4-0.

Season Series – This is the fourth and final meeting between these two Western Conference clubs. St. Louis has the edge in the season series so far, winning two of the three games. First the Blues edged Vancouver 3-2 on Dec. 5, but Vancouver answered that loss a few weeks later with a 3-1 win in St. Louis. The Blues, however, bounced back with a 3-2 win.

Big Story – St. Louis currently sits in 13 th in the Western Conference but with the recent acquisitions from Colorado, The Gateway City is buzzing with hope that the Blues can crawl back into playoff contention, and with only five points separating them from the 8th seed. Meanwhile, Vancouver continues to lead the entire Western-Conference with its League-best 85 points.

Team Scope:

Blues – Blues GM Doug Armstrong’s blockbuster deal with the Colorado Avalanche last Saturday appears to be paying off as both newly-acquired Blues, Chris Stewart and Kevin Shattenkirk, have added offensive success since coming to St. Louis – despite the Blues’ 4-3 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.

Stewart tied the game late in the second period on a power-play goal, but St. Louis was unable to overcome a two-goal deficit in the third period despite a last-minute goal from Andy McDonald.

"We had some decent opportunities in the third period," St. Louis coach Davis Payne said. "Clearly (we) were not very good in the execution department."

Canucks – The Canucks have won seven of 11 games played so far in February, however their most recent contest was a 3-2 loss to the hands of the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night.

While Henrik and Daniel Sedin have been a consistent part of the Canucks offensive success this season, even combining for six points last Saturday, the dynamic duo was kept to just two points against Montreal.

"For whatever reason, our battle level wasn't there," Ryan Kesler said. "After that 10 minutes I thought we dominated the game, but you've got to give it to their goalie."

Who’s Hot – Daniel Sedin leads the Canucks with his League-best 78 points… Chris Stewart has scored four goals in three games with the Blues.

Injury Report – Perron (concussion) and Halak (hand) are currently sidelined for St. Louis. … Dan Hamhuis returned to the lineup after being sidelined with a concussion. Vancouver is still without Andrew Alberts (wrist), Alexander Edler (back) and Kevin Bieksa (foot).

Stat Pack – The Blues have scored at least one power-play goal in their past six games, a season high.

Puck DropAlexander Steen has scored in every meeting between these teams so far this season, including a pair of goals on Dec. 5.
