Rob Dimaio
Director of Pro Scouting

Rob Dimaio was named the Blues’ Director of Pro Scouting on August 7, 2012 after serving as a professional scout with the club since 2008.

Dimaio joined the Blues from the Dallas Stars where he served as a scout for all levels including professional, amateur and junior hockey. During his 19-year NHL career, the Calgary, Alberta native appeared in 894 games including stints with New York (Islanders and Rangers), Tampa Bay, Philadelphia, Boston, Carolina and Dallas posting 277 points (106 goals, 171 assists) to go along with 840 penalty minutes. Dimaio appeared in the postseason nine times during his career recording 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) in 62 playoff games.

In addition to his NHL career, Dimaio won the 1990 Calder Cup with the American Hockey League’s Springfield Indians, posting 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in 16 postseason appearances. During his Junior career, he earned back-to-back Memorial Cup championships with the Medicine Hat Tigers (1987, 1988) including 1988, when he ranked third on the club with 91 regular season points and led the team with 31 postseason points in 14 games. In addition, he represented Canada at the 1988 World Junior Championships, helping the club defeat the Soviet Union in the tournament finals to earn its third ever Gold Medal.

Dimaio resides in Toronto, Ontario along with his wife Laura and twin daughters, Natalie and Julia.
