A look back at the players who wore the BlueNote

The St. Louis Blues have a tremendously rich history. Since entering the NHL as an expansion team in 1967, the club has featured some of the greatest players in the game, including old-time hockey heroes like Dickie Moore, Doug Harvey, Glenn Hall and Jacques Plante. More recent favorites include Bernie Federko, Brett Hull and Wayne Gretzky, and who could forget fan favorites like Bob Plager, Curtis Joseph and Tony Twist?

Throughout the coming weeks, stlouisblues.com will feature former players as we look back at their careers in photos.

	Kelly Chase - No. 39 Kelly Chase ranks second on the Blues' all-time penalty minute list (1,497). He played 345 games with the Blues and won the King Clancy Memorial Trophy for his charity work off the ice during the 1997-98 season. VIEW PHOTOS
	Joe Mullen - No. 7 Joe Mullen played 301 games with the Blues, tallying 151 goals and 184 assists (335 points). He was recently back in St. Louis for the Salute to No. 7 night with Keith Tkachuk, Red Berenson and Garry Unger. VIEW PHOTOS
	Gino Cavallini - No. 17 Gino Cavallini wore No. 17 in St. Louis from 1985-92 and played in 454 games as a Blue, scoring 91 goals and 120 assists (211 points). His brother, Paul, played defense for the Blues. VIEW PHOTOS
	Bob Plager - No. 5 Bob Plager is one of the most beloved Blues of all-time. Known for his rugged hipcheck, Plager ranks fifth all time in franchise history in games played (615). In his 14-year career, he registered 146 points (20 goals and 126 assists) in 644 games. VIEW PHOTOS
	Jeff Brown - No. 21 Jeff Brown played in 329 regular season games for the Blues from 1989-94. The offensive-minded defenseman scored 80 goals and 214 assists (294 points). VIEW PHOTOS
	Adam Oates - No. 12 Despite playing in just 195 games with the Blues, Adam Oates still ranks 10th among the franchise leaders in assists (228). One of the best playmaking centers in NHL history, Oates helped Brett Hull achieve goal totals of 72, 86 and 70. VIEW PHOTOS
	Mike Liut - No. 1 Mike Liut played for the Blues from 1979-85 and ranks first in franchise history in games played (347), wins (151) and minutes played (20,010). VIEW PHOTOS
	Craig Janney - No. 15 Craig Janney wore No. 15 for the Blues and played in St. Louis from 1991 to 1995. In 186 games as a Blue, Janney scored 48 goals and 185 assists (233 points). Janney eventually played 760 career NHL games, registering 751 points. VIEW PHOTOS
	Bernie Federko - No. 24 Bernie Federko played 13 seasons for the Blues and holds the team record for games played (927), assists (721) and points (1,073). He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2002 and his No. 24 is retired by the Blues. Federko currently works as an analyst for FOX Sports Midwest. VIEW PHOTOS
	Greg Millen - No. 29 Greg Millen ranks fourth in Blues history in games played (209), wins (85) and minutes played (12,375). His consecutive shutout minutes mark of 202:52 stood as a team record until Brian Elliott set a new mark (241:33) during the 2011-12 season. Millen wore the 'Note from 1984-90. VIEW PHOTOS
	Bob Bassen - No. 28 and 41 Bob Bassen played in two stints with the Blues (1990-94 and 1999-2000). He quickly became a fan favorite for his physical play while chipping in 35 goals and 63 assists (98 points) in 284 career games as a Blue. VIEW PHOTOS
	Garry Unger - No. 7 Garry Unger proudly wore the BlueNote from 1970-79, playing in 662 games and scoring 292 goals and 283 assists (575 points). He was nicknamed the Iron Man because he played in 914 consecutive NHL games. VIEW PHOTOS
	Curtis Joseph - No. 31 Curtis Joseph became a fan favorite after signing with the Blues as an undrafted free agent. "Cujo" won 137 games with the Blues, ranking him second on the team's all-time list. He was traded in 1995 and went on to have a 19-year NHL career. VIEW PHOTOS
	Noel Picard - No. 4 and 12 Noel Picard was acquired by the Blues in the 1967 Expansion Draft, making him an original Blue. Picard played 278 games with the Blues, registering 12 goals and 46 assists before retiring in 1973. Picard currently lives in Montreal and visits St.Louis several times throughout the year. 	Barclay Plager - No. 8 Plager played defense for the Blues from 1967 to 1977 and was a fierce competitor. According to legendary coach Scotty Bowman, "as far as I was concerned, nobody hit any harder than Barclay for his size and strength." Plager also served as the team's head coach on two different occasions: from 1978-79 and from 1982-83. VIEW PHOTOS
