Gary Agnew
Assistant Coach
Gary Agnew was named an assistant coach for the Blues on June 15, 2012.
Agnew joins the Blues from the Ontario Hockey League’s (OHL) Oshawa Generals where he was named head coach on Nov. 7, 2011.
Prior to Oshawa, Agnew spent four seasons (2006-2010) with the Columbus Blue Jackets as an assistant coach to Ken Hitchcock, including a brief stint as interim head coach prior to Hitchcock’s hiring in 2006.
Agnew also served as head coach of the Blue Jackets’ American Hockey League affiliate (AHL), Syracuse Crunch from 2000-2006 and became the winningest coach in club history leading them to a 200-177-83 (.545) mark in 480 games.
