Prospects Tournament: Blues 5, Blue Jackets 2, FINAL

The Blues wrapped up the Traverse City Prospect Tournament on Wednesday afternoon with a 5-2 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets' prospects.

Stefan Della Rovere, acquired from Washington several weeks ago for enforcer D.J. King, scored on the power play just 2:52 into the second period to open the scoring.

Alex Pietrangelo added his second goal of the tournament just over eight minutes later, also with the man-advantage, to give the Blues a 2-0 lead against Columbus.

But the Blue Jackets battled back in the third, scoring twice in quick sucession. Ryan Johansen scored on the power play, while Chris Francis scored an even strength goal 46 seconds later to tie the game.

But Brett Sonne responded with a power play goal 13:30 into the third, thanks to an assist from Ian Cole, to give the Blues the edge.

Della Rovere and Anthony Nigro later added goals to help the Blues to their second victory in the tournament.

Goaltender Jake Allen finished Wednesday's game with 38 saves.

The Blues finished with a 2-2 record at the tournament, which featured teams of prospects from eight NHL teams.
