The Blues and FOX Sports Midwest are teaming up once again for the Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure. The race is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 15 in downtown St. Louis. Be sure to select St. Louis Blues/FS Midwest as your team selection.
By joining the St. Louis Blues & FOX Sports Midwest team, you will receive a commemorative team T-shirt and a Race for the Cure participant T-shirt. The cost to enter the race is $30 per person and all proceeds benefit Komen for the Cure.
Survivors that register for the team are eligible to receive a special pink team T-shirt (instead of the regular team T-shirt) and will be recognized at the prerace team activities held at the Scottrade Center.
The first 1,200 people to register for the Blues team will receive a free ticket to a 2013 St. Louis Blues preseason game.
All team members will also be invited to enjoy special prerace activities outside of Scottrade Center, which includes a meet and greet with Louie, music, face painting and more!
Last year, more than 2,300 fans joined the Blues and Fox Sports Midwest and raised more than $80,000 for breast cancer research!
The St. Louis Affiliate of Komen for the Cure is working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in the local community joining more than 100,000 breast cancer survivors and activists around the globe as part of the world's largest and most progressive grassroots network fighting breast cancer. Through events like the Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure®, the St. Louis Affiliate has invested over $16 million in community breast health programs in 17 counties in Missouri and Illinois.
Up to 75 percent of net proceeds generated by the Affiliate stays in the St. Louis area. The remaining income goes to the national Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grants Program to fund research.

Team members can pick up their T-shirts in the main atrium at Scottrade Center at the following dates and times.

- Wednesday, June 12 - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Thursday, June 13 - 4 to 7 p.m.
Groups picking up six or more T-shirts should e-mail communityrelations@stlblues.com with a list of names and the pick up date.

The top three fundraisers on the Blues / FOX Sports Midwest team can win the following prizes:
1st Place: 2013-14 team autographed jersey and four tickets to a mutually agreed upon game with a visit to the KMOX booth
2nd Place: Team autographed souvenir stick and four tickets to a mutually agreed upon game
3rd Place: Autographed T.J. Oshie puck and four tickets to a mutually agreed upon game.
