Blues Captains
Only 20 men in franchise history have had the Captain's "C" stitched on the front of their Blues jersey. The latest, David Backes, was named captain on Sept. 9, 2011. "It's a huge honor," Backes said. "Hopefully I can be the guy the team looks to when we're having tough times and good times. (I want to be a) lead-by-example kind of guy."
Each of the men below treated the Blue Note with the utmost respect and served as role models for their teammates and their fans.
