Jake Allen Q&A: What We Learned

Blues goalie Jake Allen took control of our Twitter account on July 15 to answer questions from fans. In just a few minutes, #AskJakeAllen became a trending topic in St. Louis.

Allen, 23, was drafted by the Blues in the second round of the 2008 NHL Draft (34th overall). Since, he has represented Canada at the World Junior Championships and played parts of four seasons in the Amerlcan Hockey League with the Peoria Rivermen and the Chicago Wolves. He's been named the best goaltender of the QMJHL and the AHL and was named to the NHL's All-Rookie team after the 2012-13 season.

In October, he'll join the Blues on a full-time basis. In 15 NHL appearances, Allen is 9-4-0 with a 2.46 goals-against average and a .905 save-percentage.

During his Twitter Q&A with fans, Allen explained his reaction to this unbelievable save on T.J. Brodie in Calgary during the 2012-13 season, what he likes best in St. Louis and even asked fans for ideas for his new mask for the upcoming season (if you have some ideas, he'd like you to tweet them his way at @34jallen).

If you missed the Q&A, you can read it in its entirety below.
