Pietrangelo Named Second-Team All-Star

ST. LOUIS - Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo has been named a second-team NHL All-Star for the 2013-14 season.

Pietrangelo has been named a second-team All-Star twice in the past three seasons.

Pietrangelo joins San Jose's Joe Pavelski, Washington's Alex Ovechkin, Anaheim's Ryan Getzlaf, Nashville's Shea Weber and Colorado's Semyon Varlamov on the team.

In 81 regular season games, the 24-year-old Blues defenseman scored eight goals and 43 assists (51 points). He finished with a plus-20 rating. In the postseason, Pietrangelo scored one goal and two assists in six appearances.
