Steen Nominated for Masterton Trophy

ST. LOUIS - Blues forward Alexander Steen has been nominated for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy by the St. Louis Chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association.

The Masterton Trophy is awarded annually to the player "who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey."

This season, Steen suffered a concussion in December and was out of the lineup for 11 games.

Despite the injury, Steen currently leads the Blues in goals (33) and is tied for the team lead in points (60). He's played in 64 games with the Blues this season and earned a Silver Medal with Sweden at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
