Lapierre Placed on Injured Reserve

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has placed forward Maxim Lapierre on injured reserve with a lower-body injury.

The club has also recalled forward Dmitrij Jaskin from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

Lapierre, 28, has dressed in 39 games this season, tallying nine points (six goals, three assists) and 30 penalty minutes. Currently in his ninth NHL season and first with the Blues, the 6-foot-2, 209-pound forward has amassed 122 points (60 goals, 62 assists) and 506 penalty minutes in 502 career games. The Saint-Leonard, Quebec native was originally signed by the Blues as a free agent on July 5, 2013.

Jaskin, 20, has appeared in four games with the Blues this season, scoring his first career NHL goal on Dec. 28 vs. Chicago. With the Wolves, the 6-foot-2, 196-pound forward has posted 18 points (10 goals, eight assists) in 24 games. The Omsk, Russia native was originally drafted by the Blues in the second round, 41st overall, of the 2011 Entry Draft.
