The Blues and Patrik Berglund have agreed to a new one-year contract.

Berglund, 25, dressed in all 48 games this past season, tying for fourth on the club with 25 points. He finished second in goals with 17 and was tied for the team-lead with three game-winning goals. He also led the team with two shorthanded goals.

In addition, Berglund led the NHL overall in shooting percentage with a 23 percent success rate. In the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Berglund tied for fourth on the club with two points (one goal, one assist) in six appearances.

Since entering the NHL in 2008, Berglund ranks ninth among all Swedish-born players with 188 points and ranks eighth with 92 goals.

Overall, the 6-foot-3, 217-pound forward has appeared in five NHL seasons, accumulating 188 points (92 goals and 96 assists) to go along with 100 penalty minutes in 358 career regular season games. In 19 career playoff games, Berglund has four goals and five assists.

The Vesteras, Sweden native was originally drafted by the Blues in the first round (25th overall) of the 2006 NHL Draft.
