Blues Sign Cole to Two-Year Deal

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Tuesday the club has re-signed defenseman Ian Cole to a two-year, one-way contract.

Cole, 24, dressed in 15 games for the Blues this season, posting one assist and 10 penalty minutes.

In addition, the 6-foot-1, 219-pound defenseman appeared in 34 games for the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen, registering 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) along with 43 penalty minutes.

Cole has played in three NHL seasons, recording 11 points (two goals, nine assists) and 67 penalty minutes in 67 career games.

The Ann Arbor, Michigan native was drafted by the Blues in the first round (18th overall) in the 2007 NHL Draft.
