Halak Returns to the Lineup
Blues goaltender served as backup Sunday, will start Wednesday night
(Feb. 19) - Ken Hitchcock said Jaroslav Halak will start in goal on Wednesday night against Colorado.
Jaroslav Halak has declared himself ready to return to the lineup and served as the backup goaltender to Jake Allen on Sunday night in Vancouver.
Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock said Halak will likely start one of the back-to-back games on the upcoming schedule: Tuesday vs. San Jose or Wednesday at Colorado.
Halak had been practicing with the team in a limited capacity, but has been a full participant in team practices over the weekend.
He originally suffered a strained groin in the first period of the Feb. 1 game against Detroit. After missing three games, Halak was slated to return on Feb. 11 vs. Los Angeles but reaggravated the injury during warm-ups.
