LISTEN: Chris Kerber Interviews Glenn Hall on KMOX

Former Blues goaltender Glenn Hall will be inducted into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame on Nov. 14 at the Millennium Hotel.

Hall played with the Blues for four seasons before finally retiring after the 1970-71 season. Often credited with establishing the butterfly style for goaltenders, he used the style to win 401 career NHL games.

Hall was named to the NHL All-Star team during his first two seasons with the Blues (he appeared in 11 All-Star Games overall) and won the Vezina Trophy in the 1968-69 season, a trophy he had won on two previous occasions.

As a Blue, Hall played in 140 games, posting a 58-52-28 record to go along with a 2.43 goals-against average. He ranks as the Blues' all-time leader in shutouts (16). In addition, Hall is seventh in franchise history in games played (140), 10th in wins (58) and eighth in minutes played (7,983).

Along with goaltender Jacques Plante, Hall led the Blues to three consecutive Stanley Cup Finals appearances from 1968-70, even claiming the Most Valuable Player Award despite being a member of the losing team.

Hall will be inducted in the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame along with former St. Louis Rams star Orlando Pace and former St. Louis Cardinals center fielder Jim Edmonds. Tickets for the Induction and dinner reception may be purchased for $150 per person or $1,250 per table of ten.
