Halak Ruled Out for Round 2 vs. Kings

Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock said Jaroslav Halak won't be available during their Western Conference Semifinals series with the Los Angeles Kings.

The announcement came after Monday's 5-2 loss in Game 2 to the Kings at Scottrade Center.

"Jaro is out for the series," Hitchcock said. "He won't play in the series."

Halak suffered a lower-body injury during Game 2 of the Blues' first-round matchup with the San Jose Sharks when defenseman Barret Jackman accidentally collided with him early in the second period. Halak skated off without assistance but hasn't played since.

In two playoff appearances this season, Halak is 1-1 with a 1.73 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage.
