Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock originally said he'd wait until Thursday to name a starting goalie for Game 1.
Instead, he'll announce his decision after practice on Wednesday.
"I'm going to move it up a day so you guys can write about something," Hitchcock told reporters Tuesday after practice. "I'm going to give you a little treat."
Will he select Jaroslav Halak, who captivated the hockey world when he led the eighth-seeded Montreal Canadiens to the Eastern Conference Finals two years ago with impressive series wins over No. 1 Washington and No. 4 Pittsburgh? Or will he go with Brian Elliott, who earned an NHL All-Star nomination this season and finished with a modern-era record 1.56 goals-against average and a franchise-record nine shutouts this season?
Whatever Hitchcock reveals on Wednesday, we'll have it for you right here on stlouisblues.com.
