Blues goaltender Ben Bishop was named the MVP of the 2012 American Hockey League All-Star Game on Monday.
Bishop made 10 saves on 11 shots in Monday's midseason showcase and stopped all four shooters he faced in a shootout, helping the Western Conference All-Stars to an 8-7 win.
In 30 games played with the Peoria Rivermen this season, Bishop is 18-12-3-0 with a 2.35 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage. In addition, he leads the AHL with six shutouts.
Bishop was drafted by the Blues in the third round (85th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
