Halak Sets New Career-Best Shutout Mark
Jaroslav Halak
Goalie - STL
RECORD: 13-7-5
GAA: 2.00 | SVP: 0.920
Blues goaltender Jaroslav Halak set a new personal best for most consecutive shutout minutes, reaching 164 minutes and 38 seconds during Saturday's game vs. Buffalo.

The shutout streak, which had extended back to the Jan. 14 game vs. Minnesota, fell short of an all-time franchise mark for the Blues, set in 2008 by Manny Legace (186 minutes, 15 seconds).

Sabres defenseman Mike Weber ended the streak, scoring 16:13 into the first period on Saturday.

In his last 13 starts (prior to Saturday vs. Buffalo), Halak is 10-0-3 with a 1.50 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage.

"He's just a guy that we all know what he's capable of," Blues defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo said after Thursday's 1-0 win vs. Edmonton. "We know he's going to be there to make the saves when we need him."
