Grachev Sent to Peoria; Fairchild Recalled

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Wednesday the club has assigned forward Evgeny Grachev to the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
In addition, the club recalled defenseman Cade Fairchild from Peoria.
Grachev, 21, has dressed in 24 games for the Blues this season posting four points including a goal and three assists in addition to making three appearances for the Rivermen.
The Khabarovsk, Russia native was acquired by the Blues from the New York Rangers in exchange for a 2011 third round draft choice (Steven Fogarty) on June 25, 2011.
Fairchild, 22, has dressed in five games for the Blues this season in addition to making 32 appearances for the Rivermen posting 17 points (three goals, 14 assists) and an AHL leading +21 rating.
The Duluth, Minnesota native was drafted by the Blues in the fourth round, 96th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
