Blues Assign Fairchild, Sterling to Peoria

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Saturday the club has assigned defenseman Cade Fairchild and forward Brett Sterling to the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

Fairchild, 21, made his NHL debut in the Blues’ 2-1 victory in Washington on Nov. 29. With Peoria, he has appeared in 19 games recording seven points (two goals, five assists) and a +16 rating.

Sterling, 27, has made four appearances with the Blues this season including his debut with the club in their 3-2 overtime victory in Pittsburgh on Nov. 23. With Peoria, he has dressed in 18 games totaling 22 points including 12 goals.
