Blues Assign Cade Fairchild to Peoria

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Friday the club has assigned defenseman Cade Fairchild to the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

Fairchild, 21, has appeared in 17 games with the Rivermen this season, recording six points (two goals, four assists) and a +13 rating. The 5’11, 175-pound defenseman spent the last four years at the University of Minnesota where he accrued 93 points (21 goals, 72 assists) in 149 games.

The Duluth, Minnesota native was drafted by the Blues in the fourth round, 96th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
