Blues Recall Sterling from Peoria

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Sunday the club has recalled forward Brett Sterling from the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, Peoria Rivermen.

Sterling, 27, is second in the AHL with 22 points while his 12 goals are tied for the league lead in 18 games with the Rivermen this season.

The 5’7, 175-pound forward has 26 games of National Hockey League (NHL) experience posting nine points (five goals, four assists) and 32 penalty minutes.

The Los Angeles, California native was signed by the Blues as a free agent on July 4, 2011.
