Blues Sign Syvret to One-Year Deal

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Monday the club has signed defenseman Danny Syvret to a one-year contract.

Syvret, 26, spent last season with the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Syracuse Crunch and Adirondack Phantom, tallying 40 points (10 goals, 30 assists) in 59 games.

The 5’11”, 203-pound forward has also appeared in 59 National Hockey League (NHL) games between Edmonton, Philadelphia and Anaheim, compiling seven points (three goals, four assists) along with 30 penalty minutes.

The Millgrove, Ontario native was originally drafted by Edmonton in the third round, 81st overall, of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
