14 Fund, Players Provide Tornado Relief
ST. LOUIS –  The St. Louis Blues 14 Fund, the charitable trust of the St. Louis Blues, will donate $10,000 to the American Red Cross to support its efforts to help families affected by Friday’s tornadoes.

“So many families in our community were touched by this disaster. We want to help them get back to their lives as quickly as possible,” said Mike McCarthy, CEO of St. Louis Blues Enterprises and Blues 14 Fund Board Member.

The St. Louis Blues 14 Fund has a mission to positively impact the health and wellness of youth in the St. Louis area. Since its inception in 1998, the Blues 14 Fund has contributed more than $2 million to the St. Louis community.

Shortly afterwards, the Blues announced that the players will match the $10,000 donation, meaning the American Red Cross will receive $20,000 to help families affected by last week's tornadoes.

"Speaking on behalf of the players, our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by the storms," said Blues forward Andy McDonald. "St. Louis is our home and watching the damage over the weekend makes us want to help our community in some way."
