The Blues will likely know tonight whether they'll get to keep their first-round pick at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft  this summer.

The NHL will hold its annual Draft Lottery tonight at 7 p.m. CT (VERSUS, NHL.com and stlouisblues.com) to determine the order of selection for teams that failed to qualify for the playoffs.

The order of selection for the remaining 16 picks will be decided based on how teams finish in the postseason.

As part of the trade to acquire Chris Stewart and Kevin Shattenkirk, the Blues agreed to give Colorado a conditional first-round pick in exchange for Colorado's second-round pick.

The condition means that tonight's Draft Lottery could determine whether the teams swap picks this season or next.

If the Blues win tonight's lottery, they will pick No. 7 overall at this season's Draft and can choose to keep the pick. Doing so means they'll have to give Colorado their first-round pick in 2012 in exchange for the Avalanche's second-round pick in 2012.

If the Blues do not win tonight's lottery, their current pick (No. 11 overall) will be transferred to Colorado in exchange for the Avalanche's second-round pick this season.

Based on the Blues' regular season finish, they have just a 1.5 percent chance of winning tonight's lottery.

The 2011 NHL Entry Draft will be held at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN. The first round will take place on Friday, June 24 and the subsequent rounds (two through seven) will take place on Saturday, June 25.
