Blues Place Sobotka on Injured Reserve

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Wednesday the club has placed forward Vladimir Sobotka on injured reserve after he suffered a left foot injury in the Blues’ 1-0 loss to Calgary on February 27.

Sobotka, 23, has made 58 appearances for the Blues this season setting new career highs with 24 points including six goals and 18 assists as well as 50 penalty minutes.

The Trebic, Czech Republic native was originally drafted by Boston in the fourth round, 106th overall, of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
