Blues Assign Cole to Peoria

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Sunday the club has assigned defenseman Ian Cole to the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

Cole, 21, has made 29 appearances for Peoria this season registering five points on one goal and four assists.

The 6’1, 221-pound defenseman has played in 11 games with the Blues this year, serving 21 penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut in a 2-1 shootout victory on November 6 in Boston.

The Ann Arbor, Michigan native was originally drafted by the Blues in the first round, 18th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
