Svatos Claimed Off Waivers by Nashville

The Blues had signed the forward to a one-year deal on Tuesday

The Blues signed forward Marek Svatos to a one-year deal on Tuesday, but he'll be suiting up for the Predators instead after Nashville clamed him off waivers.

According to Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong, becuase Svatos was playing outside of North America in the KHL this season, a league rule states that player must be placed on waivers for 24 hours after being signed by an NHL club.

Before clearing the 11 a.m. CT deadline on Wednesday, the Predators put in a claim on Svatos.

Nashville will have to honor the one-year deal Svatos signed with the Blues.
