Blues Recall Nikitin from Peoria

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Thursday the club has recalled defenseman Nikita Nikitin (NICK–it–in) from the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

Nikitin, 24, has made 12 appearances with the Blues this season serving two penalty minutes.

While in Peoria, the 6’3, 217-pound defenseman played in four games recording one goal and a plus-1 rating.

The Omsk, Russia native was originally drafted by St. Louis in the fifth round, 136th overall, of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
