Jackman will be re-evaluated in three weeks by Dr. Rick Wright.
In addition, Blues’ defenseman Roman Polak will have his wrist laceration re-evaluated in eight weeks by Dr. Martin Boyes.
The Blues have recalled defenseman Ian Cole from the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Cole, 21, played in five exhibition games for the Blues this season, recording two assists, four penalty minutes and a plus-three rating. The 6-1, 221-pound defenseman has played in 11 games for the Rivermen this season, registering 16 penalty minutes.
Last season, he made his professional debut with Peoria after spending three seasons at Notre Dame where he made 111 appearances for the Fighting Irish, collecting 17 goals and 48 assists for 65 points along with 153 penalty minutes.
Prior to his collegiate career, Cole spent two years with the United States National Team Developmental Program, playing in a total of 116 games, amassing 39 points on 12 goals and 27 assists. In 2008, he represented the United States at the World Junior Championships playing in six games and serving six penalty minutes.
The Ann Arbor, Michigan native was originally drafted by the Blues in the first round, 18th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
