Blues goaltender Jaroslav Halak earned his second consecutive shutout Thursday in the Blues' 3-0 win against the Nashville Predators.

His shutout streak is currently at 151 minutes and 10 seconds.

"I don't really think about (the streak)," Halak told Fox Sports Midwest after Thursday's game. "I just come to help the guys win the game. It doesn't matter if you win 6-5 or 3-0. Obviously, it's more special when you get a shutout, but a win is a win."

Halak improves his overall record to 5-1-1. His goals-against average fell to a miniscule 1.55 and his save percentage improved to .939.

"He is such a fun goalie to watch," Blues defenseman Erik Johnson told the Associated Press. "He looks like he is not even trying. He is so effortless in his motion. There is no wasted energy with him.

"We feel so confident with him back there because he's so cool, calm and collected. We know we can go on offense and he'll be back there if we have any hiccups. He has been a great, great asset for us."

As of Thursday, Halak ranked first overall in the league with two shutouts. But the Blues goaltender is quick to deflect the compliments, giving his team credit for the success.

"Our guys on the (penalty kill) were great again tonight," he said. "They blocked so many shots for me and this team really deserves the credit for tonight's game."

Former Blues goalie Manny Legace holds the franchise record for the longest shutout streak by a goaltender. His record stands at 186 minutes and 15 seconds.

Halak was named the NHL's second star of the week on Tuesday.
