Polak to Undergo Surgery on Wrist
The Blues have recalled defenseman Nathan Oystrick from Peoria

The surgery will be performed by Orthopedic Hand Specialist Dr. Martin Boyer of Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Polak suffered the injury in the Blues’ 1-0 overtime win against Pittsburgh on Saturday, Oct. 23.
He will be sidelined indefinitely.
In addition, the Blues have recalled defenseman Nathan Oystrick (Ol-strihk) from the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, Peoria Rivermen.
Oystrick, 27, has played in 10 games with the Rivermen this season and is tied for fourth in the AHL among defenseman with seven points and is tied for second with three goals.
He spent the majority of the 2009-10 season with the Atlanta Thrashers’ AHL affiliate Chicago Wolves, collecting 23 points (seven goals, 16 assists) to go along with 96 penalty minutes. In his NHL career, the 6-0, 210-pound defenseman has played in 56 games with both the Thrashers and Anaheim Ducks earning 12 points (four goals, eight assists) and 52 penalty minutes.
The Regina, Saskatoon native was originally drafted by Atlanta in the seventh round, 198th overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
