Blues Acquire Sobotka from Boston

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced Saturday the club has acquired forward Vladimir Sobotka from the Boston Bruins in exchange for defenseman David Warsofsky.

Sobotka, 22, played in 61 games last season with Boston, registering 10 points (four goals, six assists) along with 30 penalty minutes. The 5-10, 183-pound center has played in 134 National Hockey League (NHL) games over three seasons, recording 22 points (six goals, 16 assists) and 64 penalty minutes.

The Trebic, Czech Republic native was originally drafted by Boston in the fourth round, 106th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
