Blues Acquire Labrie from Canucks
ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced Wednesday the club has acquired forward Pierre-Cedric Labrie from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Yan Stastny.

Labrie, 23, has played in 45 games this season with the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Manitoba Moose, recording six points including five goals and one assist to go along with 69 penalty minutes.

Last season, the 6-2, 212-pound forward appeared in 63 games with Manitoba collecting six goals and nine assists for 15 points and 79 penalty minutes. The Baie-Comeau, PQ native was signed by Vancouver as a free agent in 2007. Labrie will report to the Blues’ AHL affiliate Peoria Rivermen.
