Blues Sign Darryl Sydor
ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced Friday the club has signed defenseman Darryl Sydor to a one-year contract.

“Darryl Sydor is a true professional in our game,” said Davidson. “He’s a proven winner who brings valuable leadership to our blueline and will be a positive mentor for our younger defensemen.”

In his 20-year NHL career, Sydor has played for 5 NHL clubs including Los Angeles, Dallas, Columbus, Tampa Bay, and Pittsburgh. Darryl is a two-time NHL All-Star as well as a two-time Stanley Cup Champion, winning with Dallas in 1999 and Tampa Bay in 2004.

The Blues will travel for the remainder of their preseason schedule playing in Dallas on Saturday, Sept. 26 and Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Linkoping of the Swedish Elite League.
