Perron Named MVP of Charity Tournament
Blues forward David Perron was named MVP of the 16th edition of the À bout de soufflé hockey tournament that came to an end this past weekend in
Dallas Stars defenseman Stéphane Robidas served as both player and coach for team Thibault Pontiac Buick that featured Brière and Giroux as well as
Perron’s team, Total Hockey Maxi Club, won the tournament with a 9-4 victory over Tantra Superclub. Perron led the team along with Patrice Bergeron of the Boston Bruins, the Kings’ Jack Johnson and former Hab Yanic Perreault. Perron, who was last year’s Tim Horton’s Challenge winner, led this year’s tournament with 16 goals in five games.
Throughout its 16-year history the tournament has raised more than $150 000 to help children in need of hyperbaric chamber treatments. The Maison de la famille de Magog, the city of
