“We feel we have improved our club today for both the short and long term by adding Carlo and Alex,” said Davidson. “Carlo is solid two-way defenseman and will provide depth to our blueline and Alex can play center or wing and can score at the NHL level.”

Colaiacovo, 25, has played in 10 games this season with the Maple Leafs, recording one assist and six penalty minutes. The 6-1, 200-pound defenseman is in his sixth NHL season, playing in 111 games, registering 33 points (12 goals, 21 assists) along with 57 penalty minutes.
Steen, 24, has skated 20 games this season with Toronto, notching four points (two goals, two assists) along with six penalty minutes. The 6-1, 205-pound center is in his fourth NHL season, playing in 253 games, amassing 126 points (50 goals, 76 assists) and 106 penalty minutes.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba native was originally drafted by Toronto in the first round, 24th overall in the 2002 Entry Draft.
