Blues to Participate in Prospects Tournament
First 2 Games of Tournament Will Be Televised on NHL Network

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced Thursday that the club will participate in the 2008 NHL Prospects Tournament, September 13-17, in Traverse City, Michigan. There are eight teams playing in this year’s tournament and the Blues will face-off in the three-game round robin tournament against Columbus, Dallas and Minnesota. The NHL Network will air the Blues’ first two games on tape delay.
The Blues’ roster includes draft picks, signed players and tryout players and this year is highlighted by T.J. Oshie (St. Louis’ 1st round selection, 24th overall in 2005), Patrik Berglund (St. Louis’ 1st round selection, 25th overall in 2006) and Alex Pietrangelo (St. Louis’ 1st round selection, 4th overall in 2008). In addition, the roster includes 2008 draft selections Jake Allen (2nd round, 34th overall), James Livingston (3rd round, 70th overall), Ian Schultz (3rd round, 87th overall) and Anthony Nigro (6th round, 155th overall).
