ST. LOUIS – CEO of St. Louis Blues Enterprises Peter McLoughlin announced today that Dennis Petrullo was appointed to Senior Vice President of Business Development for SCP Worldwide (the parent company of the St. Louis Blues, Scottrade Center and Kiel Opera House) and that Martin Brooks was named as the new Executive Vice President and General Manager of Scottrade Center.

“As we continue to expand as a company it is important for us to continue to build a strong management team,” said Mike McCarthy, Partner, SCP Worldwide and Vice Chairman, St. Louis Blues. “Dennis has done a wonderful job of keeping Scottrade Center one of the busiest venues in the country. In this new role, we will look to utilize his expertise and experience in the industry to programming our new facility in Sandy, Utah as well. We believe that this gives us a unique opportunity to provide two strategic venues to promoters as they are considering sites to book their tours. Marty, whom we have known for over 20 years, comes to St. Louis with an extensive background in building management. He is one of the most experienced executives within the industry and we know he will seamlessly fit into our team at Scottrade Center as well as the St. Louis community.”

“Booking events is Dennis’ expertise and this will enable him to continue to add existing and new events to the building calendar,’ said McLoughlin. “We will look to Marty’s building management experience to help us continue to make Scottrade Center a safe and special place for our fans and patrons to come. His extensive background in sports and entertainment will prove to be invaluable on the business side of Scottrade Center.”

Petrullo will be responsible for business development for Scottrade Center, and the company’s new 20,000 seat stadium in Sandy, Utah (RSLStadium), which is the future home for Real Salt Lake (MLS) and is scheduled to open this fall.

He has been an executive at Scottrade Center since 2000 and has been instrumental in landing such events as the 2007 NCAA Division I Men’s Hockey Frozen Four Championship, the 2008 and 2009 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships and the 2009 Division I Women’s Basketball Final Four.

In February of 2005, Petrullo brought the Cory Spinks vs. Zab Judah II Welterweight Championship to Scottrade Center, which drew an indoor arena record for boxing with an attendance of 22,370.

Three times under Petrullo’s guidance, Scottrade Center was ranked in the top 10 in the world by Pollstar Magazine in total attendance for non-sporting events.

Brooks joins the Scottrade Center after being the Senior Vice President and General Manager for XL Center in Hartford, Rentschler Field and the Hartford Wolf Pack for the past 11 years. He directed and managed the operation of the XL Center, including facility booking, event operations, marketing, sponsorship, luxury seating and ticket sales, box office, catering and finance departments.

He was able to secure a management agreement with the State of Connecticut’s Office of Policy and Management for Rentschler Field, a new multi use stadium constructed primarily for the University of Connecticut football program which opened in August of 2003.

Prior to his move to Hartford, he served Madison Square Garden as President of Miss Universe. He was responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic plans for the operation. In addition to the Miss Universe pageant, he also was executive producer for the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants, all of which aired on the CBS television network and were distributed internationally by Paramount Television.

He joined MSG Network in 1985 as director of programming and in June 1986 was promoted to vice president of programming. In 1990, he was promoted to senior vice president of programming and network operations, and in 1992 he became senior vice president of programming and production, responsible for the production of all live events and sports news programming, including the negotiating of contracts for all on-air talent. Under his leadership, MSG Network won its first national CableAce Award and numerous New York Emmys. He also initiated “Yes, Make it Count,!” MSG’s community outreach program designed to assist children’s’ charities.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, he held positions with MetroSports and USA Network before joining Madison Square Garden.
