Blues Place Jackman on IR, Recall Wagner

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that the team has placed defenseman Barret Jackman on injured reserve after suffering a concussion in the second period of last night’s game against the Red Wings. In addition, the team has recalled defenseman Steve Wagner from the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen
Wagner, 23, has skated in 21 games for the Blues this season, recording eight points (two goals, six assists) along with eight penalty minutes. He has appeared in four games for the Rivermen this season registering an assist.
The Grand Rapids, Minnesota native made his NHL debut on Oct. 4 at Phoenix and scored his first career NHL goal on Oct. 20 against Minnesota.
He was signed by the Blues as un-drafted free agent on March 20, 2007.
