ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Blues teamed up with the American Red Cross and held a blood drive on Friday, Sept. 21 from 12:30 p.m.- 5 p.m. at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church parking lot (4967 Forest Park Ave.).
The drive, called “Bleeding Blue For Wendy Pleau,” was named in honor of Blues General Manager Larry Pleau’s wife, Wendy, who is currently battling cancer.
The van was parked in plain view so Wendy could look out her hospital window at Barnes Jewish Hospital and see her support group throughout the day.
Blues players, alumni and staff donated blood at the event.
