Highlights: 300K|700K

Blues forward Brad Boyes took some time out of his schedule to talk to us about the summer. Check out what Boyes had to say about the start of his career in St. Louis, his offseason vacation plans and more.

Q. What was your biggest highlight of the season?
A. “That’s a tough one because I just got here. I’d say coming here was pretty good. It’s kind of a highlight. I’m glad I could contribute right away.”

Q. What are you most looking forward to next year?
“I’m looking forward to winning. I think we’ve got a great team and a good group of guys coming back. I think we’ll be competitive right from the beginning, so that’s something that’s real exciting.”

Q. What kind of vacation plans do you have for this offseason?
“Nothing yet. I’m going to go home, see what my buddies and girlfriend are doing, and we’ll arrange it then.”

Q. What are your offseason training plans?
“I’ll probably take about a month off, three or four weeks. Then I’ll get into it. I’ll do a lot of lower body stuff, lower leg stuff. I have to try and get powerful, quick and strong.”

Q. Which, if any, Major League ballparks will be find you in this summer?
“Yeah, I’ll probably catch a few [Toronto] Blue Jays games. I’ll probably be up in the nosebleeds though.”

Q. If there's one thing you could say to Blues fans, what would it be?
“It’ll be exciting next year when we come back. We’ll be a good team, come on out and watch us play. It’ll be fun.”
