Blues Announce Radio Partnership with KMOX

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Chairman, Dave Checketts announced today that the Blues have agreed to a multi-year deal with “The Voice of St. Louis” KMOX Radio (AM 1120) to become the flagship radio station for Blues Hockey.
“We are delighted to bring Blues Hockey back to KMOX,” said Checketts. “With the rich history of KMOX and powerful signal that KMOX provides, combined with the bright future of our team, we feel this is a perfect situation.”
“Blues fans are well aware of the significance that KMOX has in this city,” said CEO of St. Louis Blues Enterprises Peter McLoughlin. “KMOX will provide Blues fans coverage, not only in St. Louis, but across the country with pre-game and post-game shows, play-by-play of our games, a Friday Night Hockey Show, a Sunday morning segment and a weekday, drive-time segment. They will broadcast preseason games, all of our regular season games and Stanley Cup Playoff games.”
KMOX Radio (AM 1120), which last broadcast Blues hockey in the 1999-2000 season, is dedicated to being the dominant information and entertainment source for the St. Louis region. The station is heard in 44 states and throughout much of Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. “The Voice of St. Louis” is woven into the fabric of the community. KMOX proudly continues to hold the distinct honor of being the most dominant radio station in the history of broadcasting in America with the largest audience share of any station in the 40 largest cities in the U.S. KMOX also holds the record of 120 consecutive number one showings in Arbitron’s radio ratings (and still counting).
