The Blues look to improve their preseason record to 2-0 on Wednesday when they travel to face the Tampa Bay Lightning at the Amway Center in Orlando, FL.
This marks the second time the Blues have played a preseason game at the Amway Center. The first was a 4-3 Blues win on Sept. 21, 2011. Adam Cracknell scored the game-winning goal for St. Louis with just 2:20 remaining in the game.
Ben Bishop made 21 saves to earn the win for the Blues. Bishop is now a member of the Lightning organization and could be in the lineup for Tampa Bay on Wednesday.
Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock said Brian Elliott will start in goal for the Blues and will likely play at least two periods. Jordan Binnington, who missed Sunday's game with a migraine, is expected to serve as the backup.
In their first preseason outing Sunday, the Blues beat the Stars 6-5 in a shootout, getting goals from Maxim Lapierre (2), Sebastian Wannstrom, Adam Cracknell and Ryan Reaves. Vladimir Tarasenko scored the lone shootout goal while Jake Allen made 33 saves, including three in the shootout.
