ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Thursday the club has assigned goaltender Jake Allen to the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

The 6-foot-2, 203-pound goaltender appeared in 15 games for the Blues last season, leading rookie goalies with nine wins (9-4-1) and a 2.46 goals against average, while his .905 save percentage ranked second.

In addition, Allen became the first Blues rookie goaltender to record at least nine wins since Curtis Joseph in 1989-90.
